Under the motto “Every step is an opportunity”, this Friday, January 31, the Juan Pablo II Park in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria became a solidarity space where more than 800 students from the Arenas School with headquarters in Las palmas de Gran Canaria (Infant and Primary) and in Arucas (Secondary and Baccalaureate), to celebrate its XIII Solidarity Race.

The race is celebrated in the framework of the celebration of the Day of Peace and Nonviolence, with which the School, through its students, shows once again its formation in values and its solidarity character, and extends its hand to the most defenseless, children, because they are the most vulnerable people to any calamity. The Center contributes in this way to its mission of building a fairer and more peaceful world.
Organized by the students of the Diploma Program and the students of the Middle Years Program (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate of the Arenas School based in Arucas, and sponsored by students who are part of the College Futsal team, the annual meeting returned to Be a success. This meeting brought together the students, their teachers, management team, families and alumni, to carry out one of the most important solidarity concentrations of the annual calendar of their activities, whose purpose is to raise funds for UNICEF (as a School Childhood Friend), Red Cross, San Juan de Dios and Caritas.
In this solidarity event, which is expected to exceed the collection of last year (6000 euros), the companies and collaborating entities that provide the necessary supplies for the runners, and whose surplus is collected at the end of the act for the feeders social capital.
