Arenas School has once again celebrated the remarkable language achievements of its students from Primary to Baccalaureate.

Two ceremonies, one in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Infant and Primary) and the other in Arucas (Secondary and Baccalaureate), were the venues for the awarding of certificates in English, German, French and Chinese. An impressive 20 Proficiency (C2 of the Common European Framework), 28 Advanced (C1 of the Common European Framework), and 24 First (B2 of the Common European Framework), reaffirming the high level in languages of the first bilingual school in the Canary Islands.
On 15 November, Colegio Arenas held a recognition ceremony, where diplomas in English, French, German and Chinese were awarded. The students themselves participated in the event, expressing their interest in the learning process and their future goals.
The assembly on 21st November at Colegio Arenas Atlántico was the framework to recognise the exceptional achievements in languages, remembering the figure of Carmen Ojeda, the driving force behind bilingualism in the Canary Islands.
Led by David Martin, Head of the Modern Languages Department, the day was dedicated to the effort and commitment to fostering a culture of excellence. In attendance were the Principal of Colegio Arenas Atlántico, Pino Afonso; the representative of Cambridge Assessment English in the Canary Islands, Gerard Hally; and the Director of the Confucius Institute of Las Palmas, Jiandong Liu.
After the congratulations, more than 300 diplomas were awarded in the four languages offered by the College: English, German, French and Chinese.
