Learning to Save Lives at Arenas School ❤️

Under the slogan ‘Your hands can save lives’, pupils from 1st to 6th grade of Primary School and the teaching staff of the Arenas School took part in two days of intense workshops on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), given by Dr Cristina Escot, mother of pupils at the school and a specialist in the ICU of the Hospital Insular.

With a didactic and fun approach, Dr. Escot adapted the content to the ages and levels of the participants. Through explanatory videos, music to set the rhythm of CPR, demonstrations and games, each group learned how to act in an emergency: from calling 112 to correctly performing CPR. Teachers were also given additional practice in the use of the school's defibrillator, increasing their ability to respond to critical situations.

These workshops have provided tools for students and teachers, reinforcing the importance of knowing how to act in the event of an emergency.

Thank you Cristina for your collaboration and for showing us that our hands can make a difference! 👏
