The Arenas School in Gran Canaria and the Arenas International School in Lanzarote have become, after authorization by the world organization of International Baccalaureate to teach the Primary School Program (PEP) in Early Childhood and Primary Education, in the first and The only international educational centers in the Canary Islands that teach the three IB programs (International Baccalaureate) in all their educational stages, from Infant to Baccalaureate.
The International Baccalaureate Programs, taught in more than 4,000 public and private schools around the world, are a world reference in education due to their incomparable academic rigor and advanced methodology that achieve extensive personal development
for students. For the delivery of these programs, it is necessary to comply with strict requirements in the training of teachers, in the realization of study programs, in the way of teaching and learning in the College and after the Center has passed a rigorous evaluation. and authorization by the International IB Organization, with more than 60 years of experience.
After the success achieved with the Diploma Program (Baccalaureate), which they have been teaching for 12 years, and aware of the multiple benefits that international IB programs have for students, teachers, the institution and society itself, Colegio Arenas -Arenas Atlántico and Colegio Arenas Internacional undertook the adventure of preparing the entire educational community to become international schools that are experts in modern languages.
The path has been arduous and demanding, but also motivating and exciting in each of the programs implemented. First the Diploma Program for Baccalaureate, then the Middle Years Program (MYP) for Secondary students
whose authorization was obtained last school year, and finally the Primary School Program (PEP) for Infant and Primary who has been certified in these days. This authorization makes them the only schools in the Canary Islands and one of the 15 in Spain to have these studies, which prepare children from an early age for effective learning, equipping them with tools and strategies that will allow them not only to achieve in the future success but become people capable of contributing to improving the world around them.
