Talent, perseverance and a passion for science all come together in one person: Elena Ramón. Our Year 13 student has achieved a brilliant second place in the Las Palmas Provincial Physics Olympiad, held on 13 February at the Tafira Campus.

This recognition reflects much more than just a result: hours of hard work, boundless curiosity, and a way of looking at the world through constant questioning and critical thinking. Elena has not only excelled, but has established herself as one of the rising stars of physics in Spain.
Heading to the national stage
Thanks to this extraordinary achievement, Elena will take part in the national stage of the 2026 Spanish Physics Olympiad, to be held in Zaragoza from 10 to 13 April. A new challenge she faces with the same enthusiasm and commitment that have brought her this far.
An example for the whole community
Elena’s journey demonstrates that, with passion and dedication, great goals can be achieved. Her story is already inspiring classmates, teachers and our entire educational community, reminding us that the future of science lies in the hands of young people like her.
